Andy Warhol, such an amazing impact on the art world (world in general, perhaps). As many of you may know, he’s most famously known for his contributions to American Pop art (Campbell’s Soup, Marilyn Monroe, etc.), but what you may not know is that he was also an accomplished advertising illustrator and graphic artist (amongst other things). He found inspiration in everday life and that’s what has always drawn me to his work. I would have loved to have had the opportunity to meet him ( The Factory, what a crazy idea!), but unfortunately he passed a few years before I was born. The following quotes and drawings come from the Andy Warhol Idea Book (which was an awesome gift from a friend a few years ago).

And because I’m posting the Warhol sheet music sketch I’m in the mood to share some music I’ve been into lately. We  just saw them on Saturday night up at the Beat Kitchen, they rocked! Check out Passafire’s latest album Everyone on Everynight. If you’re into reggae vibes or even if you just want to listen to some chill music (great for painting), you’ll dig it too.
